Verification of proton beam/boron-neutron capture based on Gaussian Inverse models
We aim to apply mathematical/statistical approaches based on information theory and Bayesian experimental design to understand the volume of information that can be collected by e.g. Hexitec gamma-ray cameras during treatment, and the optimal design and placement of detectors in 2d and 3d models. Challenges include understanding the sensitivity to placement, the effect of background radiation and the statistical uncertainty inherent in the observations.
