Kelsey Tough

Oliver is currently a Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bath. Previously, he spent two years as a post-doctorant at the Université de Neuchâtel, working with Michel Benaïm. He completed his PhD at Duke University in 2021, supervised by James Nolen. Prior to that, he obtained his BA and MMath at the University of Cambridge in 2016.

Oliver’s research interests include interacting particle systems, absorbed Markov processes and their quasi-stationary distributions, piecewise-deterministic Markov processes, and branching processes.
