Kathrin
Schütrumpf
After studying geochemistry and geology at the University of Dresden in Germany, Kathrin worked in Seville, analysing borehole sediments from the river Guadiana, and worked as a research assistant at the University of Potsdam analysing sediments of paleo lakes in Germany and Poland. Kathrin then returned to Germany to work as a Public Relations Assistant at Senckenberg Natural History Museum and Research Society in Dresden.
Kathrin moved to the UK in 2014 with the European Leonardo programme, first working for a non-profit company in Coventry coordinating projects and conferences, before moving to the University of Warwick in 2015 to manage high profile events.
Kathrin is the Events Officer for the Department of Statistics. Kathrin’s role supports the research strategy of the department, with responsibility for an extensive visitor and conference programme including MaThRad workshops and events which are a crucial element to the programme’s delivery plan.
